That was the first thing I thought about when reading this article was about the Cuban kid. In this case, this kid is an American citizen, born in America and is literally being held hostage in Brazil due to politics and the fact that the Step Father is a lawyer and has influence. That whole thing is a mess and they should release him. His birth Mother is gone, and I don't really know why the Step Father would want to keep him. I don't know what the custody arrangements were while his Mother was alive or did she just take off to Brazil with the child. That's a problem too then if there were no custody arrangements in place.

HRDawg,
I was interested in your comment about Aetna. I am an appeals specialist and fight them everyday. The public needs to be more aware and pay attention to their health coverage. The commercial insurers pay their statistions handsomely to figure out precisely what percentage of coverage they can get out of paying. We all should have the right to healthcare coverage just the same as Congress!
